Maharashtra DISCOMs have asked staff to adhere timelines while processing rooftop solar applications

Recent inspection determined that a significant amount of rooftop solar applications had been pending for more than two years. The Chief Engineer made a note of this and has asked all the concerned engineers to speed up the rooftop solar processes. The application processing will be done through an online portal within the scheduled timeline by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC).
